Web design for agencies

An agency's own website is almost always the project that gets left behind. Yet it gets judged more strictly than any other: anyone who sells design gets measured by their own site - by clients and candidates alike.

01The situation

Your website is your work sample, not your business card.

Prospects check within minutes whether your style fits their project.

A page that only lists services doesn't answer that. What decides it is the work shown, a recognisable stance, and a path to enquiry that matches your standards.

02What the site must do

What an agency website needs to carry

Three things decide whether a glance at your site turns into a conversation.

Work first

The work comes before the self-description. Anyone scrolling should see what you can do before reading what you say about it.

Make your stance visible

Selection, typography and restraint are the real argument. The site itself is the proof - or the counter-argument.

Matching enquiries

A clear path to enquiry with an honest framing pre-filters: more matching projects, fewer conversations that go nowhere.

03Recommended architecture

How we structure an agency website

Five areas that together explain what you stand for and how it is to work with you.

  1. 01

    Work

Selected projects with brief, solution and outcome - fewer of them, but told in full.

  2. 02

    Services

What you take on and what you don't. Clear boundaries build more trust than a long list.

  3. 03

    Way of working

How a project runs with you, who is involved, and what you need from the client.

  4. 04

    Team

People, not roles. With agencies, it's often who you work with that decides, not which firm it is.

  5. 05

    Enquiry

A path with the right questions - project, timeframe, budget range - instead of a blank form.

04Trust signals

What agencies get measured by

These four points decide whether an enquiry happens at all.

Traceable cases

Not just the final image, but the brief behind it - even when client names have to stay confidential.

Who you work for

Industries and project sizes say more about fit than any adjective.

Craft in the detail

Load time, typography, image quality, behaviour on a phone - with you, exactly that gets checked.

A reliable process

Naming timelines and responsibilities openly reads as dependable - a genuine differentiator among agencies.

05Search intent

What people search for

Enquiries to agencies rarely start from a single word - usually from a combination of discipline, industry and way of working together.

  • A specific discipline such as branding, web design or a campaign
  • Experience in their own industry or with comparable products
  • An implementation partner for overflow work, white-label, or a fixed role in the team

07Common questions

Agency websites - briefly explained

What does a website for Agencies cost?+

Our packages are public: starter website from €2,400, company website from €4,900, website system from €9,900 - each with bespoke design, copy and imagery from us, a solid SEO base, plus hosting and care. The binding fixed price for your project follows a short conversation, as a rule within one working day, and stays valid for 14 days.

Do you also build for other agencies?+

Yes. Some agencies bring us in for their own website, others as an implementation partner behind their brand. Both are normal, and we say upfront which role we're working in.

We have work, but no time to prepare it.+

That's the most common reason agency websites get left behind. We structure existing material into cases and write the copy for it, if you'd like.

Does SEO even matter for an agency?+

Less than referrals, but it does matter - especially for discipline and region. We deliver the technical foundation; nobody can seriously promise rankings.
