Web design for car dealerships

A buyer decides on the vehicle, not on the dealership. The website has to lead through the stock so that a buyer finds the right car, sees its data in full and can ask without a detour.

Automobile Kessler shows how fifteen cars can be presented without one of them getting lost.

The template translates trade in the upper segment into a vehicle search with filters for power, mileage and fuel type - and into a detail page that carries the same fields on every car.

Automobile Kessler - industry template, home page

Fictional brand, built template

Automobile Kessler is an invented brand and not a client mandate. The template is fully built - what it becomes for your dealership comes out of your stock and your brands.

The stock sits on the portal. The dealership's own site stays a business card.

Many dealerships leave their stock to the vehicle portals and keep a site that shows nothing.

That costs twice: the visibility for your own name, and the contact that runs through the platform instead of through you. Your own maintained stock is the only place where your dealership and the vehicle appear together.

04

From the vehicle to the enquiry, without a break.

The site has to carry a stock that changes constantly and still convince on the single vehicle.

Make the stock navigable

Vehicles can be narrowed down by what a buyer actually looks for: fuel type, mileage, power, first registration. Twenty cars need an order, two hundred need a search.

Evidence the single vehicle

Every car carries the same complete data set. A classic gets no special fields and no gaps - otherwise the whole stock looks neglected.

Enquiries without a form hurdle

Test drive, part exchange and callback start at the vehicle, with the vehicle in the subject line - instead of from a general contact form.

05

From the stock to a date on the forecourt.

Five areas a dealership site needs - the cut follows your stock and your brands.

  1. 01

    Vehicle stock

The list with exactly the filters your stock can carry. A filter over ten cars is decoration, not help.

  2. 02

    Vehicle page

One page per car: images, full data, equipment and the direct route to a test drive.

  3. 03

    Service and workshop

Maintenance, repair and part exchange - the part of the business that carries after the sale.

  4. 04

    The dealership

Who you are, since when, who stands at the counter. On a purchase this size, the dealer is part of the decision.

  5. 05

    Contact and directions

Opening hours, contacts and the way to the forecourt - for a business people come to in person.

06

On a used car, what can be checked decides.

Trust comes from information a buyer can verify.

Vehicle history

Previous owners, service book and origin belong on the vehicle page, not first in the conversation.

Inspection and preparation

What was done before the sale and by whom: roadworthiness test, service, preparation - each with a date.

Warranty and statutory guarantee

Scope and term are written out, instead of standing as a single word on the home page.

Part exchange

How the old car is valued and what a seller has to bring for it.

07

People search for the car first.

Most searches start with a model, a price range or a place. The name of the dealership comes second - and only if it has turned up along the way.

  • A particular model, often with year or equipment
  • A price range, frequently together with fuel type or mileage
  • A dealer within reach, ideally with its own workshop

08

From inquiry to launch.

After the order and a complete brief, your website is usually ready within a few days - built, hosted and online. The binding date is in your quote, because it depends on the scope. Changes after that are normally done within three working days.

Depending on your plan we keep developing the site, install security updates and change or add content on request.

09

What a website for Car dealerships costs.

That puts us above what you will read elsewhere while comparing. The difference is in the scope: structure and design are made for your company rather than taken from a template, copy and images we take from you or create ourselves, and the site is built so that Google and AI search can read and quote it. Work outside the packages is billed at €120 per hour, announced and approved before it starts.

What a website costs

The company website starts at €6,900 plus VAT, the website system with its own editing area at €14,900. After launch the site stays with us: €49 a month for hosting, updates, backups and monitoring - or €499 a month for full care, which includes ongoing changes, active SEO work and new content.

You get the binding fixed price for your project after a short call, usually within one working day.

10

Web design for car dealerships in practical terms.

What does a website for Car dealerships cost?
The company website starts at €6,900 plus VAT, the website system at €14,900. Hosting and care start at €49 a month on top. You get the binding fixed price for your project after a short call, usually within one working day.
How long until the website is online?
Usually a few days after the order and a complete brief; the binding date is in your quote. We do the building: structure and design come out of what you tell us rather than out of a questionnaire you fill in. From you we need company details, existing text and images and a sign-off - whatever is missing, we create.
Who changes copy and images later?
On the care plan at €499 a month you tell us and we do it, usually within three working days. If you would rather edit yourself, take the website system: it includes an editing area where you manage pages, images and whole collections without us.
What happens to our existing website?
It stays online until the new one is ready. We build in parallel on a preview link, carry over the content that still works, and redirect the old addresses to the new ones so Google and shared links still arrive. Your domain moves on the day you approve.
How many cars can a site like this carry?
Technically any number. The real question is upkeep: stock fed from your dealer management system keeps itself current, stock maintained by hand should stay small enough to stay correct. An out-of-date stock costs more trust than a large one brings in.
Do the vehicle photos have to be professional?
Above all they have to be consistent. Same background, same angles, same order - that reads as more coherent than a few very good shots among phone snaps.
Does the site replace the vehicle portals?
No, it complements them. Portals bring reach, your own site brings the contact without an intermediary - and it is the only place where your dealership and the vehicle appear together.
Can we pull the stock from our dealer management system?
Yes. Where there is an interface or an export, the website takes the vehicles from it and keeps them current, including images, specification and price. Without a connection you maintain the cars in the editing area of the website system, with the same fields on every vehicle.
And what about the workshop?
It gets its own pages: servicing, tyres, accident repair, booking. For many dealerships the workshop secures the business between two car purchases - and it is often the first contact of a customer who buys from the same house years later.
